Bring Your Vision
“Bring your vision” is one of the clearest examples of listing language shifting the work back onto the buyer.
It usually means the property is not going to win you over on presentation alone. The house may be rough, dated, underwhelming in photos, or simply not easy to understand at first glance. The listing is telling you that if you want to see value here, you will need to imagine it.
That is not necessarily a bad thing. Many RenoScouter buyers are exactly the kind of people who do bring vision.
The problem comes when the phrase is used to compensate for weak fundamentals. Vision helps, but it cannot rescue a house with no real case underneath it. The best version of this phrase is not “you’ll need imagination because this is hard to love.” It’s “you’ll need imagination because there is something here worth unlocking.”

Usually project-minded buyers, character hunters, or entry buyers who can look past presentation and think more strategically.
